The action of making art stimulates our brains, helps us build focus, improves our memory, increases our focus and concentration, enhances our mood and helps us with our dexterity. For those with mild to moderate memory loss, art can become a vehicle for building new memories, stimulating the brain and allowing the participants a sense of both accomplishment and connection with the creative process.
This class offers those individuals with memory loss, Alzheimer’s or Parkinsons’ along with their caretakers an opportunity to engage in a variety of artistic endeavors in a safe, stress-free and joyful environment. Art experiences will vary weekly.
