Join us for a hands-on workshop focused on the essentials of soil health for a thriving garden. Learn key principles, including the benefits of low/no-till gardening, mulching, and cover cropping from Erica Eason at the Monroe County Soil & Water Conservation District. We will look at soils that have been exposed to different elements, observe a slake test to understand soil structure, and try out tools designed to minimize soil disturbance. This workshop is perfect for gardeners of all levels looking to improve the sustainability, health and productivity of their garden.
