Building Bridges Program Graduation

We invite you to join BRIDGE Housing as we recognize high school aged residents of Jordan Downs and Evermont who completed the Building Bridges Program, earning a paycheck while learning hands-on skills and working toward an industry-recognized certificate.

The event will be held in the community room located on the 2nd floor courtyard of Cypress View. Street parking is available. Refreshments will be provided after a short program.

In 2024, BRIDGE Housing established the Building Bridges Program, in partnership with Harbor Freight Tools for Schools, to provide high school age residents at Jordan Downs in Los Angeles an opportunity to earn money while participating in skilled trades education in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and welding. The two-week pilot program exposed young residents to pathways to well-paying careers and supports the development of the local workforce, including jobs redeveloping Jordan Downs. To date, the program has dispensed $107,000 in stipends and has experienced a 7x increase in enrollment in just two years! This year, we are thrilled to expand our partnership to serve 120 students during the year-long 2026-2027 program.
