Building Bridges Garden Club: Taste Tests in the Garden

The best part about gardening is enjoying what you've grown! We'll peruse the garden beds and taste what is growing.

Not sure which is your favorite variety of tomato or sweet pepper? Now is the time to find out! Ground cherries, anise hyssop, and passion fruit--if you haven't tasted it before, this is a great time to try a new flavor.

We'll also answer your gardening questions and talk about what to do at this stage of the season to keep your plants growing well.

The workshop will be led by Anita Sewell of Gold Flower Farms.

This is the 9th event in our Building Bridges Garden Club series. You don’t need to have come to any of our previous events to enjoy this one.

This is a free club for gardeners and soon-to-be gardeners (even if you’re just growing on your windowsill) in Ward 8 (and elsewhere) to meet each other, get your hands dirty, learn some tricks, get some free plants, and have fun. Everyone is welcome.

If foul weather is in the forecast, check the email you used for registration to see if we need to change our plans. The event will be outdoors. Please dress in clothes that will keep you comfortable and you don’t mind getting dirty.
