This foundational prediabetes and diabetes self-management education class, led by certified diabetes educators, offers effective ways to help participants learn how to manage their diabetes, focusing on basic meal planning, medical management, and lifestyle. This event is free but registration is required.
Classes are normally held the second Saturday of the month from 9-11:30 a.m. in the Conference Center at Piedmont Columbus Regional Midtown. There will also be some weekday classes on Feb. 11 from 1-4 p.m., Apr. 22 from 12-3 p.m. and June 17 from 9 a.m. to noon. Call 706-571-1499 for more information and to sign-up.
