About this Event
Join us as part of the Scottish Refugee Festival for an inspiring and community-focused event celebrating connection, creativity, and shared belonging.
Hosted by the Edinburgh Refugee Sponsorship Circle in partnership with RESET, this event brings together art, stories, and conversation to explore how Community Sponsorship is helping to build stronger, more connected communities across Scotland.
The event will feature an exhibition showcasing artwork created by families resettled through ERSC alongside contributions from volunteers. We are also proud to show powerful pieces from Care4Calais Scotland, highlighting the voices and experiences of people seeking asylum.
A panel discussion will offer an opportunity to learn more about Community Sponsorship—what it is, how it works, and the meaningful impact it has on both newcomers and local communities. You’ll hear directly from those involved, including volunteers and people with lived experience of resettlement, sharing personal insights into building belonging together.
There will also be delicious East African and Syrian treats available for donation!
Whether you’re curious about Community Sponsorship, passionate about building inclusive communities, or simply looking to connect, this event is for you.
Come along, be inspired, and discover how we can all play a part in building belonging—together.
