Kia ora Wesley and Roskill 💛Recovery from the 2023 floods is still happening and now it’s time for the community to decide what happens next.
Join us for the official launch of voting for Recovery and Resilience in Roskill – Building Back Better Together, our community-led action plan shaped by local residents, renters, homeowners, Kāinga Ora tenants, youth, leaders and organisations.
✨ Come along to:
• See the community projects applying for funding
• Meet the people behind the ideas
• Learn about the six recovery priorities
• Cast your vote
• Connect with neighbours over kai and conversation
This is participatory funding in action - which means local people decide where real recovery funding goes.
From small grassroots ideas to larger community initiatives, these projects are all about helping our homes, streets and neighbourhoods feel stronger, safer and more connected.
Over 7,500 pieces of feedback helped shape this plan through street chats, festivals, workshops, youth events and multi-language engagement. Now it’s time for the next step - community voting.
