Join Curia and the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership for a roundtable exploring how trauma informed policy can shape public policy.
About this Event

Jointly organised by Curia and the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership, this Parliamentary Roundtable brings together parliamentarians, system leaders, practitioners and people with lived experience to explore what it means to build a trauma informed nation.

While much of the policy debate focuses on individual services or sectors, trauma informed approaches offer a unifying framework for prevention, equity and system reform across health, social care, justice, education and community services. This roundtable provides a focused, strategic space to examine how trauma informed principles can be embedded within national policy, system leadership and service delivery.

The session is designed to support open, cross sector discussion on the human and economic case for trauma informed public services, drawing on evidence, lived experience and place based leadership. It aims to move the conversation from awareness to action, identifying practical opportunities for progress within existing policy and system structures.

Important information:
Curia members, MPs, Peers and guests of the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership will receive priority entry. Registration does not guarantee attendance. A formal parliamentary ticket will be issued to those whose attendance is confirmed and must be presented at security for admission. Those without an official invitation (including Eventbrite confirmations) will not be permitted entry.

The roundtable will feature:
• Evidence on the impact of trauma on health, inequality and system demand
• Perspectives from lived experience on how public systems can heal or harm
• Discussion on policy alignment and opportunities for cross departmental action
• Facilitated dialogue on barriers to adoption and what can be done now

The roundtable aims to build shared understanding, strengthen cross party engagement and lay the groundwork for continued parliamentary collaboration on trauma informed public policy.

Attendance is by invitation only and registration is required.

To find out more about Curia membership, please contact Partnerships Director Ben McDermott at [email protected].
