I stand on the shoulders of giants.
Today, while cleaning, I came across several keepsakes that belonged to my godparents, Rev. Dr. Alfred DeWayne Hill and Mrs. Doris Hill.
As I turned each page, I was reminded that legacies aren’t built in a day. They’re built through decades of faithfulness, sacrifice, service, and an unwavering commitment to lifting others.
These weren’t just photographs. They tell the story of a man and woman who poured themselves into the church, the community, and the next generation. Their lives continue to inspire the work we do through ESPN Academy.
Every scholarship awarded, every child tutored, every family served is possible because someone came before us and believed that investing in people changes lives.
