Building a Global Company from Vancouver: A Fireside Chat with Shahrzad Rafati
About this Event
On November 17, the Rotary Club of Vancouver welcomes Shahrzad Rafati, Founder & CEO of Rhei (formerly BBTV), for a rare, in-person fireside chat about entrepreneurship, ambition, leadership and the future of media.
Shahrzad founded BBTV in Vancouver in 2005 and built it into one of the world's largest digital video ecosystems, reaching billions of monthly views. Along the way, she helped shape an industry that has fundamentally changed how people create, distribute and consume content.
And she did it while keeping Vancouver at the centre of the business.
Now, we're bringing her to the Terminal City Club for a candid conversation with Navid Morawej, President of the Rotary Club of Vancouver, followed by an opportunity for the audience to ask questions.
No keynote presentation. Just an opportunity to hear directly from one of Canada's most influential entrepreneurs.
We'll leave time for audience Q&A, so come with a question you've always wanted to ask someone who has built at this scale.
Some of the most interesting business conversations happen when you can get beyond the headlines and hear directly from the person who made the decisions.
This is one of those opportunities.
Whether you're an entrepreneur, business leader, investor, creative professional or someone interested in how global companies are built, we would love to welcome you.
You don't need to be a Rotary member to attend. Our weekly lunches bring together Vancouver's business and community leaders for conversations, new perspectives and meaningful connections.
Join us for lunch, meet people from across Vancouver's business community and hear from someone who has taken a Vancouver idea to the world.
Seats are limited. Reserve yours and join us on November 17.
