About this Event
C-store basket building in the past was about getting a fuel customer to buy coffee, a bottled drink, tobacco, and a breath freshener. In 2024, leading c-stores have made their pizzas, sandwiches, and other signature foods the destination and fuel the extra. Investments in quick commerce delivery/digital commerce and loyalty rewards mean that data-enabled insights are helping c-store operators invest in new categories and products to build baskets that combine foodservice-fuel-groceries in new ways.
In this session, we reveal the ways that c-store operators are using digital commerce, retail media, and loyalty data to make decisions on categories and capex. Alan Beach, formerly of 7-Eleven, will discuss what c-stores expect from suppliers in terms of data sharing and integration. iSEE Store Innovations will deliver a summary of their ‘State of Beer Caves’ report and how it changes cross-category dynamics.
