You get to build a bike and keep it! Woohoo! All the tools, parts and instruction are provided. Just make sure to bring closed toed shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. The bikes you get to choose from are basic department store bikes and we bring all sizes and shapes to ensure they fit the rider. Basic tool use and familiarity along with mechanical troubleshooting skiils will be taught while building and repairing your very own bicycle! Also, don't worry if you don't finish your bike in time. We will transport your bicycle back to our bike shop (Community Spokes - 303 Simspons St.) and you can book a time during business hours to finish it there at no extra cost!
ACTIVITIES:
(1) Bike Building
(2) Bike Videos
(3) Bike Games & Discussions
(4) Lunch and Snack Breaks (bring your own food!)
Please do not bring your own bike to work on. We provide all the bikes, parts and tools. If you wish to build or fix your own bike that can be done at our business storefront during our business hours. Also, if you cannot sign up for this workshop for any reason (schedule, age range, price, etc.) you can always build a bike at our bike shop! Call/text the bike shop cell at 1(807)790-2328 for more information on these options. You can also visit the website at www.communityspokes.com or email us at [email protected].
Shout out to the following:
