Price is per telescope. A perfect activity for family and friends looking to learn more about 3D printing a
Using a 3D printer and some commercial mirrors, build a telescope powerful enough to see Saturn's rings, Jupiter's bands, and the moon's craters! In this one-day class, you'll assemble a lightweight telescope out of 3D printed parts. While amateurs have been making telescopes for hundreds of years, this telescope is built for affordability - it sports a 4.5" diameter mirror, weighs just 2 pounds thanks to its open tube truss design, and was built for half the price of a commercial telescope with similar optics. The moon photo above was taken through it! You'll walk away with a lightweight telescope more powerful than many commercial ones for the same price. Price includes the materials to build one telescope, including mirrors, printing filament, aluminum rods, and eyepieces. Any family members or kids can tag along for free! Pizza will be provided.
