Build the Pot, Plant the Thing — Hands-On Creative Workshop in New Orleans
About this Event
You'll decorate a terracotta pot using a mixed-media materials bar — paint, mosaic tiles, beads, sea glass, shells, stones — then plant an herb in it and take both home.
There are no instructions for what your pot should look like. You pick what calls to you. The colors you reach for, the things you layer together, the way it fills up will say something about you. That's the whole point.
We will walks you through adhesion techniques and design options, then you're loose with the materials. No two pots will look the same.
What's included Everything. All materials, your pot, seeds, and a care card are provided. Just bring yourself.

10:00 — Welcome + materials walkthrough
10:30 — Open work time at the materials bar
12:00 — Plant your herb 12:30 — Show your pot + wrap up
1:00 — Done. Go home with something you made.
What to wear We'll be outside — dress for the weather and wear something you don't mind getting a little messy.
