Build Bat Boxes with Friends of the LA River - Glendale

Join us at Rediscover Glendale for a free community workshop led by artist and educator Cass Widdison. Participants will learn basic construction techniques for building a bat house while exploring how small, hands-on projects can support local habitats and urban wildlife.

This workshop is designed for families and community members of all skill levels. Cass will guide participants through the process step by step, with room to learn, build, ask questions, and work together in a relaxed maker-space environment.

At the end of the workshop, families are welcome to take their finished bat house home or donate it to Friends of the LA River in support of their upcoming Bats and Brews fundraiser in October 2026.
