Build-A-Bot Workshop
Join us at The Food Hall at Gibson Mill for a hands-on Build-a-Bot Workshop with Brooklyn Robot Foundry Charlotte, voted 2026 Best in STEM Education by Kids Out and About Charlotte!
This is a family-build experience with kids in the driver’s seat. Young builders will create their own working robot while learning, experimenting, problem-solving and - most importantly - having fun.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to participate, but here's the challenge: let your child lead the build! Brooklyn Robot Foundry's team will guide everyone through the process, so no robotics experience is needed.
🤖 Choose Your Session:
1:00–2:30 PM | Little Builders
Recommended for ages 2–5. Parents/caregivers stay and build alongside their little ones, while letting their young builder take the lead as much as possible.
3:30–5:00 PM | Family Build
Recommended for elementary-aged children. Build together as a family, or parents can drop off their builder in the Kids Zone and enjoy some time (and food!) in the food hall while they work.
Have children in both age groups? No problem! Families with children of different ages may choose whichever session works best for them.
🎟 Tickets: $27 per child building a robot. Parents/caregivers do NOT need a ticket. Your ticket includes the complete Build-a-Bot experience and a robot to take home.
Space is limited and advance registration is required.
Ticket sales close Thursday, September 10th.
