***Tickets go on sale at 9AM on Saturday, February 8th!***Moths are arguably one of the most ecologically important insect groups in terrestrial ecosystems, yet historically, there is limited knowledge about their diversity, distribution, and habitat associations in Montana. The Montana Moth Project (MMP) is closing this knowledge gap by documenting moths in each county across the state. In this edition of Bugs & Brews, MMP founder Mat Seidensticker will discuss how the project started, current progress, and future directions.
When: Tuesday, February 25th. Doors open at 6:30 PM, speaker at 7:15 PM.
Where: Missoula Butterfly House and Insectarium, 1075 South Ave W., Missoula, MT 59801
Be sure to get there when the doors open to give yourself ample time to explore the museum and butterfly house before the lecture. Grab a beer, peruse the exhibits, and hold a bug or two at our encounter area!
Admission is $14 for non-members / $10 for members, which includes two complimentary beverages. Must be 21 or over for alcohol, non-alcoholic beverages available.
