The Buena Vista Social Orchestra is an exciting production featuring key players from throughout the history of Cuban music genres. Continuing the legacy of this legendary and cultural movement, the group aims to keep the arts, music, and culture of Cuba alive with a colorful show featuring a repertoire pulled from the greatest hits, many of which were composed by Ramos, and deep-dive cuts. The Buena Vista Social Orchestra will celebrate the various styles of Cuban music playing everything from Guajira, Son, Danzon, Son Montuno, Pilon, Cha Cha Cha, Changui and Bolero to Guaracha, Ritmo Batanga, Afro, Latin Jazz and more. The tour is being brought to the U.S. by The School of Sacred Knowledge and the band’s record label SSK Records.
