BUCU: Jewel of Life Convention

Join Black Unity Conference Universal for the Jewel of Life Community Convention, a free community event grounded in the 12 Jewels of Life — Knowledge, Wisdom, Understanding, Freedom, Justice, Equality, Food, Clothing, Shelter, Love, Peace, and Happiness.

This is a day built around unifying the unifiers. Expect four workshop rooms running all day, a full vendor marketplace in the gymnasium featuring local Black-owned businesses, live ambient drumming, and a closing sequence with prize giveaways, a youth award, and a community backpack giveaway. Vendors, community organizations, and neighbors are all welcome.

This event is hosted at the East Oakland Youth Development Center and made possible in part through the 40x40 REACH Grant.
