The Pontchartrain Conservancy will be hosting a Bucktown Shoreline Restoration Event on Saturday, March 15, and they are looking for volunteers!
Volunteers will help plant native grass plugs in order to rebuild marsh habitat along the Lake Pontchartrain shore. This will create vital habitat for native species, serve as a line of defense against storm surge, and will create an easily accessible recreation area for the public to enjoy.
