Buckle Up for a Recycling Road Trip
--- Tuesday, June 23
--- 10-11am; Community Room 3
--- Registration required
Join the Ecology Action Center to learn about recycling and how we can dispose of things properly! Through this story time and activity, attendees will learn about recycling and how littering can negatively impact the environment, including along Route 66. Once we understand litter and what to do about it, attendees will decorate their own car from a reused box, and “drive” along a chalk outlined road picking up litter. Along the way, we will learn what our community can recycle and how to properly sort items into the recycling bin or the trash. This program is intended for children 5-11 years old, accompanied by their caregivers.
Registration is required, is limited to 30 young travelers (ages 5-11 years), and can be completed online at bit.ly/recycle0623. Registration can also be completed by phoning 309.590.6155 or by visiting the Children's Desk at the library and registering in person. Each child must have their own registration to participate.
Questions about this program can be emailed to Ms. Alysha at [email protected].
