The Buc Days STEAM Expo is presented by Gulf Coast Growth Ventures. Students from all around Texas are invited to participate in the first annual Buc Days Food Challenge presented by H-E-B!
Located in the Shops at Treasure Island Exhibit Hall, this first-time event will take place on Saturday, May 11th, 2024, with four rounds of competition, followed by the awards ceremony on the Community Stage presented by KIII.
More than 100,000 youth participate in the 4-H Food & Nutrition Project, learning how to prepare nutritious and safe meals and snacks and adopt behaviors that can help reduce their risk for chronic disease. This contest challenges teams of students to create a dish using only a predetermined set of ingredients. From these ingredients, team members must identify and prepare the dish, then make a presentation about it to the judges.
