Join us on November 3, 2021 in the Burhan Pavilion at Stanford University for a fireside chat with University of Pennsylvania Wrestling Alumni, former Charles Schwab Chief Executive Officer Dave Pottruck and Olympian Sandy Bacher Fakaosi, as well as a state-of-the-program address from new Stanford Wrestling Head Coach Rob Koll. The evening is hosted by Beat the Streets Bay Area, a local chapter of a national nonprofit organization aimed at empowering youth through the sport of wrestling. Everyone is welcome to hear and learn from our speakers, make a donation in person, and to learn more about how to get involved with Beat the Streets Bay Area.
AGENDA
Board members and other Beat the Streets staff will provide a brief overview of Beat the Streets Bay Area and an update on the status of its programs, followed by a fireside chat with Dave Pottruck. Stanford Wrestling Head Coach Rob Koll will provide an update on the status of Stanford Wrestling. Beat the Streets National’s Executive Director, Ben Reiter, will attend to share progress transpiring across the country for this national youth development movement. The program will conclude with closing remarks from Beat the Streets Bay Area Development Coordinator Talia Benet.
PARKING
Parking on Stanford's campus is free after 4pm. Limited parking is available in the Burnham Pavilion parking lot, but additional parking is available on the street in front of Burnham Pavilion and in the nearby Parking Structure (PS 7) garage.

ABOUT BEAT THE STREETS BAY AREA
Beat the Streets Bay Area's mission is to develop the full potential of underserved and at risk youth. BTS Bay Area works directly with the Oakland Unified School District in a public-private partnership to bring the life changing sport of wrestling to Oakland student-athletes improving their academic, health and social and emotional well-being. BTS Bay Area is partnering with the award- winning Summer Program Aim High to provide enrichment opportunities through distance wrestling and fitness programs. Soon, BTS Bay Area plans to expand its programming to the Oakland Housing Authority, Sunnyvale, and San Jose youth wrestling programs.
