Living 8,000 miles away from our homeland, Bangladesh, often brings feelings of homesickness. However, the Bangladesh Student Organization at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) is dedicated to connecting all Bengali students and alumni on campus, fostering a sense of community and belonging.To welcome the freshmen and new members this Fall, the organization is hosting a cultural event called Ektara. Named after the traditional one-stringed musical instrument capable of producing a variety of melodies, Ektara symbolizes the organization's mission—to create a harmonious bond among all members through a single, united group.
