The Power of Passion brings together the power of two monumental works of the orchestral repertoire with the excitement and promise of the next generation of musicians.
The program features Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 1 and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, along with a special performance by the winner of the Myrna Hershberger Young Artist Competition 2027. This talented young musician will join the Bartlesville Symphony Orchestra as a featured soloist, continuing a tradition of giving exceptional young artists the opportunity to perform with a professional orchestra.
This concert is part of Solid Gold: Celebrating 50 Years with Lauren Green, honoring Maestro Lauren Green’s extraordinary 50-year history with the orchestra.
Stay tuned for details about a special Young Artist Competition Alumni Reception before the concert and a 50th Anniversary Celebration for Maestro Lauren Green immediately following the performance.
Join us for an evening of powerful music, young talent, and a milestone celebration for the BSO.
