Sia Vaiz, a Vienna-based Singer/Songwriter, gets under your skin. Passionate, Wild, Innocent, Torn, Honest. A natural artist, her music is, drastic, dynamic, pure emotion. Fierce rawness comes through to show more than just another musician on a stage, but a fearless woman who seems 10 feet tall as she exposes all that taunts her.

SPEAKING SILENCES
“Well, you know, it’s been a long time…”
After a break of more than three years, Speaking Silences returns to the stage. A little older, a little greyer, yet none the wiser. Still belting out and whispering songs of anger and hope, sorrow and love, wearing his heart on his sleeve. Join the singer/songwriter in rediscovering old tunes and bringing new ones to life for the first time.
“The last proper gig I played, a lifetime or two ago, was at b.Sides – so I’m even more excited, hyped (and scared) than I would normally be about performing in this wonderful place for such lovely people. There’s a sense of picking up lost threads and weaving them back together. Let’s find out where it takes us this time.”
The dry facts: three to four releases (depending on who does the counting), the latest of which, Hanging On, came out in 2021. Part of what used to be the Vienna Songwriting Circle; peripherally involved in all three Under the Bridge busking events. Mainly based in Vienna despite having roots elsewhere.
