b.sides: Sabina Vostner & Maddy Rose

After celebrating two years of b.sides with all you lovely peeps, we're glad to start into a new year of heartfelt songwriting evenings. ? We're sure it'll be as amazing as the previous ones. ?

And for the second time in the little history of b.sides we're honoured to have an artist on stage, who crossed a border to come and play at Café Benno for us. A rare chance to see the singer-songwriter, poet, writer, artist and lovely human being that is Sabina Vostner. Dancing among the stars, she's sharing her journey through time and space through touching tunes and lyrics.

And then there's the honour of having the amazing Tausendsassa on stage that is Maddie Rose. Organizer of the beautiful Ever Artist evenings at Badeschiff, she will grace the stage with her pure and unique Vintage Soul/Pop songs.

SABINA VOSTNER

Singer songwriter, poet, writer, artist ... dancing among the stars. From endless travelling through space and beyond, she is very much influenced by the greatest poets of their eternal time as well as the sung stories of some musicians, and she combines poetry and music as two siblings. Various music experiences turn her to the soft genres of acoustic folk-pop melodies, and lyrics become the stories about life, about love and about freedom – the common search in everybody's soul. Born in Russia and raised in Slovenia, she writes in Slovene, Russian (both mother tongues) and English, transforming the borders between them into new pathways of understanding and communication.

MADDIE ROSE

Pure - authentic - strong. Maddy Rose is a singer/songwriter with a soulful and emotive voice which is coupled with jazzy piano chords. She creates a unique Vintage Soul/Pop style with influences of Jazz and Blues. Modern soul with a feel-good guarantee that exudes euphoria and optimism.
