Part of Yale University Press’s Jewish Lives series, the book explores Bernhardt’s dramatic persona and artistic collaborations—including her iconic partnership with Alphonse Mucha—which helped shape the visual culture of her time and left an enduring legacy in theater and art. This month’s selection is paired with the exhibition Timeless Mucha: The Magic of Line.
