This course will give you the opportunity to improve your English skills: reading, writing, speaking/listening, interview skills – for home or work. It will prepare you to progress on to a Functional Skills course.Read and understand a range of texts, identify layout features in the texts; improve your reading skills
Share ideas and opinions in an informal discussion, improve interview skills
Plan and draft writing and organise it into paragraphs; improve your writing for applications/CVs
Improve your spelling of common and tricky words
Use capital letters and full stops correctly; recap on punctuation rules.
The course will run – every Monday – 16th September – 16th December 2024.
This course is open to learners aged 19 years plus (in August ’24) with 3 years residency or other residency status who do not have a GCSE A* – C grade or equivalent in English. This course is aimed for learners at Entry Level 3 and above.
