BRUCE MOLSKY
He’s a self-described “street kid” from the Bronx who bailed on college and big city life for a cold-water cabin in Virginia in the 1970s. His mission? To soak up the passion that was dramatically upending his parent’s life plan for him – authentic Appalachian mountain music – at the feet of its legendary pioneers, old masters who are now long gone.
Today, Bruce Molsky is one of the most revered “multi-hyphenated career” ambassadors for America’s old-time mountain music. For decades, he’s been a globetrotting performer, ethnomusicologist and educator, a recording artist with an expansive discography including seven solo albums, well over a dozen collaborations and two Grammy-nominations. He’s
also the classic “musician’s musician” – a man who’s received high praise from diverse fans and collaborators like Linda Ronstadt, Mark Knopfler, Celtic giants Donal Lunny and Andy
Irvine, jazzer Bill Frisell and dobro master Jerry Douglas, a true country gentleman by way of the Big Apple aptly dubbed “the Rembrandt of Appalachian fiddlers” by virtuoso violinist
and sometimes bandmate Darol Anger.
Molsky digs deep to transport audiences to another time and place, with his authentic feel for and the unearthing of almost-forgotten rarities from the Southern Appalachian songbook. Molsky seduces audiences with a combination of rhythmic and melodic virtuosity and relaxed conversational wit – a uniquely humanistic, downhome approach that can make Carnegie Hall feel like a front porch or intimate jam session.
In addition to his many live performances as a solo and with Molsky’s Mountain Drifters, Bruce will be kept away from his home in Beacon, New York, by his work as a Visiting
Scholar at the old American Roots Music Program at the Boston’s Berklee College of Music, and through fiddling workshops and summer music camps he conducts for devotees here and abroad.
"Bruce Molsky is one of those great players who 'gets it': has all the links to the past but is happy not to be chained to it" - Mark Knopfler
"One of the world's premier Appalachian-style fiddlers" — Bloomberg News
"It is no exaggeration to say that Bruce Molsky is one of the greatest American fiddlers
of all time. His playing is mesmerizing and transporting, and best experienced live" – WBUR (Boston NPR)

ADAM BEATTIE
Scottish singer-songwriter and guitarist Adam Beattie has become a celebrated musician of the London scene. He has been active since 2003 and has released 5 albums of his own songs. Having roots in Scottish folk music, as well as a lifelong interest in old time jazz, blues and other folk styles, his music spans many genres, but is all held together by Adam's distinctive voice and narrative lyrics.
Beattie has recently released his brand new solo album 'Somewhere Round The Bend' on 12" and CD which has received praise from the likes of Mojo Magazine describing it as "Uplifting reveries of love and loss through smoky jazz and romantic balladry", Line Of Best Fit calling it "Stirring Folk Balladry" and Loud And Quiet Magazine awarding it 8/10 and claiming "The album is mesmeric". The album was also championed by BBC Radio Scotland presenter Roddy Hart, who featured it as his 'Record Of Note' and invited Adam to speak on the show and curate a selection of songs as his 'Me-In-3' guest.
'Somewhere Round The Bend' came fresh off the back of his Rough Trade release with PicaPica, a collaboration album with Grammy nominated producer Sonny Johns, BBC Folk Singer Of The Year Josienne Clarke, and singer-songwriter Samantha Whates, as well as his Scottish supergroup Band Of Burns’ latest release being named ‘Album Of The Month’ in Mojo (4 stars) and BBC Music Magazine (5 stars). After four studio albums collaborating with notable producers, this new record sees Beattie at the helm for the first time, on fire as a multi-instrumentalist, arranger and producer.
Over his years of extensive European touring and festival appearances, Adam has played opening shows for many of his musical heroes; Bert Jansch, Jolie Holland and Sean Hayes.
As a multi-instrumentalist accompanist he has recently played guitar and bass for global singer-songwriter star Birdy (Atlantic Records). And recorded with and accompanied many acclaimed artists on the local London scene; Fiona Bevan, Garance Louis, Gabriel Moreno, Leonie Evans and Brooke Sharkey.
The new album features drums from Mercury nominated Seb Rochford (Polar Bear, Patti Smith, Adele), double bass from Fred Thomas (ECM Records), backing vocals from multi-platinum singer-songwriter Fiona Bevan (Lewis Capaldi, Billie Marten, Matthew E. White), as well as Adam’s regular badass bandmates Marco Quarantotto, Zac Gvirtzmann and Filippo Ferazzoli.
