The Brownsville Farmers Market presents the 30th annual Brownsville Blues Festival: it’s back and better than ever! We’re thrilled to be sponsoring this local musical institution — “celebration of life, love of the Blues!” Check out this year’s lineup:
Coming back to Brownsville! All the way from Oakland, California, Willie G is a mainstay at the Brownsville Blues Festival bringing blues-tinged R&B with his tremendous horn section, a guaranteed proven crowd pleaser.
Michael Skinner will be bringing his 5-piece Final Touch Band; we are blessed to have his caliber of music with Bobby Young on guitar.
From the Nevada City/Grass Valley area we have two bands this year. The Banner Mountain Blues Band, a well-received favorite local 5-piece band playing their rocking style of blues with harp front man Jerry Earwood along with his sidekick Visa Eksyma on guitar. These guys come ready to perform their style of blues.
Then we have the JB Eckl Band who came to this area with a long list of credentials including the band War and Carlos Santana.
Plus, special guest Andrew Little Project!
The Brownsville Blues Festival is brought to you by the Brownsville Farmers Market, Gold Eagle Market, Browns Valley 76 Station, and Christopher Hayhoe Real Estate.
Noon to sunset Sunday, Sept 1st at the Ponderosa Park Amphitheater. Please leave your ice chests and pets at home. Beer, wine, and food available for purchase. Tickets are $25, free for kids 12 and under. For more info, contact (530) 675-0195.
