This is a live, online class limited to 10 participants. Tuition: $7 per person.These are online, live events. LabSpace limits enrollment in this event to 10 to allow for plenty of sharing or ideas and projects. We encourage questions and interaction during the workshop. Tuition: $8
We'll explore coding with some hands-on fun and learn about algorithms, debugging, events, loops and more. We'll be using a program called Scratch, Jr to introduce coding concepts. ScratchJr is an introductory programming language that enables young children to create their own interactive stories and games. Children snap together graphical programming blocks to make characters move, jump, dance, and sing. Children can modify characters in the paint editor, add their own voices and sounds, even insert photos of themselves -- then use the programming blocks to make their characters come to life.
Please download Scratch, Jr before class. It is free and available for phones and tablets and iPads and Chromebooks. It is important to have the program downloaded before the workshop begins. Each workshop will complete the requirements for that badge. The workshop does not include the badge. If you need a certificate of completion, please let us know. Troop leaders, we're happy to schedule a workshop for your troop. Online badge workshops are $8, in-person the tuition is $10.
