Please join us for this great event! The Scapular Enrollment
When: Saturday May 11
Time: after 8:15am Mass (will take about 30min)
What you need: Brown (no other colors) Scapular.
Requirements: First Holy Communion
We will also be blessing St. Benedict Medals and other religious items you may want to bless.
Those who want to be enrolled need to be in attendance.
There are several scapulars out there however Father says the enrollment is only for the brown scapular and must be made out of 100%wool. Cotton, silk, and any other material is strictly forbidden. It is permitted to ornament the Scapular with images or pictures, such as Our Lady of Mt. Carmel or the Carmelite shield. However, the wool brown color of the Scapular must predominate.. Enrollment. Unlike typical sacramentals, scapulars are not merely blessed, but need to be invested by a priest to enroll the faithful.
Don't have one? You can get them online (delivery must before our meeting) or visit your Catholic stores in town!
