Westport Center for the Arts invites you to our upcoming Brownbag Concert on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 12 noon.
The Ad Astra Duo, compiled of Melody Stroth, Piano and Eman Chalshotori, Cello will be presenting professional holiday-themed music.

Melody Stroth holds a Master of Music in Piano Performance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from Oklahoma Baptist University. Currently holding a large studio in Overland Park, Kansas, she is a nationally certified teacher of music and is a member of Music Teachers National Association and the National Federation of Music Clubs. Some notable achievements include being the first recipient of the NFMC Ouida Keck Award (2004), the Kansas Music Teacher of the year (2010), and the NFMC Missouri Church Musician of the year (2010).
Eman Chalshotori has been seen performing in the Kansas City Symphony, Oklahoma City Philharmonic, the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas, and is currently the principal cellist for the Topeka Symphony Orchestra. He curates programs that connect diverse audiences through creative programming, ranging from reimagined folk and pop classics to masterworks of the canon. In addition to his performing career, Eman is deeply committed to education and outreach, fostering the next generation of musicians with a teaching style rooted in both discipline and inspiration.

The Brown Bag concerts are presented free (donations welcomed) and held in the sanctuary at Westport Presbyterian Church, 201 Westport Road, Kansas City, MO 64111.
Bring a Lunch, if you wish. Coffee and Cookies provided at a reception following the performance.
