Broom Making Workshop: An Introduction to Traditional Techniques
About this Event
Come learn to make a broom using traditional broom making techniques! This adult beginners workshop will introduce the materials and techniques for making a simple single bundle whisk broom. All materials will be provided. This workshop is taught by broom makers Cutter Hutton and Ayumi Kodama and is free thanks to a Community Engaged Project Grant from RISCA.
Broom making is a full body activity that uses your feet and hands. We recommend you wear closed toe shoes and avoid wearing light colors that could get dirty. Please be on time; the workshop will require the full scheduled time.
