Broom Making: A Little Magic for Your Home
Wednesday, October 28 · 6–8 PM at oak
Create your very own hand broom and fill it with intention.
In this hands-on workshop at oak, you’ll learn the traditional symbolism of the witch’s broom and make a small hand broom of your own. In witchcraft, brooms, or besoms, are often used as tools for cleansing and clearing energy, sweeping away what no longer serves you and making space for something new.
You’ll build your broom from natural materials, then personalize it with dried flowers, crystals, and other botanical embellishments chosen to reflect your own intentions. We’ll talk about the symbolism behind the materials and how you can infuse your broom with a little ritual of your own.
Hang your finished broom near your front door, above a doorway, beside your altar, or anywhere in your home where you want to invite protection, clarity, renewal, or simply a little magic.
A note about your broom: Once decorated, your broom is best treated as a magical object rather than a cleaning tool. If you’d rather make one you can actually sweep with, you can skip the embellishments and take home a functional hand broom instead.
Come make something beautiful, set an intention, and bring a little everyday magic home with you.
