Help plant 10 trees at Burke School Community Garden in Bronzeville!
About this Event

With a little over 25,000 residents Bronzeville is a thriving, rich community in Chicago. Within this, the Bronzeville Alliance works to maintain the Burke School Community Garden-- a relaxing space for students and residents to gather, learn, and grow fresh food.

The addition of 10 native trees will help support the garden's food production and add shady, native habitat for people and animals alike.

No experience is necessary! Volunteers will help us dig holes, plant trees, mulch, and water.

  • Please wear long pants, closed toed shoes, and a mask **note: masks may need to be worn for the duration of the project.
  • Make sure to bring a full water bottle and sunscreen too! We will take care of everything else.
  • Please be sure to include a phone number when signing up to stay updated on last-minute schedule changes due to weather!

We look forward to making a difference in this community and hope that you will join us for this fun event!
