Bronx Little Italy Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony

• Bronx Little Italy’s Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony will return on Saturday December 7 2024 from 4 PM to 6 PM inviting all to embrace the holiday spirit with an opportunity to meet Santa enjoy holiday carols and savor delicious Italian cookies and hot chocolate from local small businesses. 

During the ceremony the BID will also co-host a toy giveaway for local families with The Children’s Cancer Society of America whose mission is to support children and families fighting cancer by providing monetary aid for medical expenses not covered by insurance. Toys will be available on a first come first served basis and the child must be present.

The Tree Lighting will be the start of just some of the iconic holiday offerings on Arthur Avenue. Visitors can complete all their holiday shopping needs for authentic Italian specialty items and cuisine in Bronx Little Italy. The Jolly Holidays will also be in the neighborhood singing carols every Thursday to Saturday in December leading up to Christmas from 6:30-8:30pm while on Sunday 12/22 from 4 to 6 pm and Christmas Eve from 6:30 to 8:30pm. Visitors can also expect special visits from Santa on December 13 14 21 23 and 24 in the afternoon.

The holiday season is a great time to visit the neighborhood and pair it with a trip to the Bronx Zoo Holiday Lights as well as the New York Botanical Garden Holiday Train Show!
