Every second Tuesday of each month we will be highlighting the directorial debuts of some of the most fascinating and innovative filmmakers. You can find the list below of the first films we will be screening.

Screenings will take place in our incubator space at Lehman College CUNY On The Concourse from 5PM - 8PM.
Doors Open at 5PM and the screening will start at 6PM.

Medicine for Melancholy

Synopsis: Micah (Wyatt Cenac), a passionate social activist, meets affluent professional Joanne (Tracey Heggins) at a party. After getting drunk together, they have a one-night stand. The morning after begins uncomfortably, but eventually romantic feelings develop between Micah and Joanne. As they converse more deeply, they realize they are separated by an array of political and philosophical differences and must decide if these factors are more important than their budding relationship.

His business acumen shines through in his understanding of media-tech ecosystems: he’s contributed to platforms where film studios leverage granular viewer data — including trailer views and shares — to optimize distribution strategies and secure funding. Solomon’s cross-industry experience includes engineering project management, application support, and health equity outreach, making him a rare blend of technical depth, strategic thinking, and human-centered impact.
