Broken to Beautiful

Have jewelry you love but never wear? Give those old pieces new life by turning them into a beautiful work of art.
About this Event

Have you ever had a piece of jewelry that you loved, but weren't quite sure what to do with anymore? Maybe it's broken, missing a piece, or simply sitting in a drawer and you can't bring yourself to get rid of it because it holds a memory.

For this Cafecito, Crear y Charlar, we're giving those forgotten pieces a new life.

Instead of using paint, pencils, or markers, we'll use beads, charms, chains, and other jewelry pieces to create a picture on canvas. You'll choose, arrange, and layer the pieces to build an image of your own design. The finished piece becomes something completely new while still carrying a little bit of the story behind the materials.

All supplies will be provided, including jewelry pieces to work with. If you have a broken necklace, mismatched earrings, old bracelet, or another piece from home that you'd love to incorporate, you're welcome to bring it along.

Come spend a Saturday morning making something with your hands, giving something old a new purpose, and enjoying some time with other people. No art experience is needed. Just bring your creativity and any pieces you'd like to give a second life.
