Broken Spines: A Weird Fiction Book Club in Cambridge

Join us on the fourth Tuesday of each month to delve into the subversive world of weird fiction. We will be reading a mixture of genre staples from supernatural stalwarts like Edgar Allan Poe and M.R. James to the more contemporary contributions of Sayaka Murata and Julia Armfield.

For August, we’ll discuss Rouge by Mona Awad. From the critically acclaimed author of Bunny comes a horror-tinted, gothic fairy tale about a lonely dress shop clerk whose mother’s unexpected death sends her down a treacherous path in pursuit of youth and beauty.
