Broadway Up Close: The Maven Experience
The Broadway Maven, David Benkof, has been teaching online Broadway appreciation courses for nearly six years. This event marks his FIRST-EVER in-person event and it stands to be a massive experience for those who partake!
Join David on a trip through Manhattan and Broadway where you'll stop at some iconic sites in Broadway culture including an EXCLUSIVE tour of the Hayes Theater (available to the first 12 registrants), observe timeless treasures in theatre history at The Museum of Broadway, shop a little to satisfy your cravings at the Drama Bookshop, and see an ALL-NEW Off-Broadway musical co-written by Broadway Maven faculty superstar Mateo Chavez Lewis!
Itinerary:
- At 10:00 am sharp, the first 12 registrants will meet David at the Hayes Theater for a Behind-the-Scenes tour of the smallest Broadway venue.
- At 10:30 am, registrants will meet at The Museum of Broadway and be joined at 11:00 by the registrants on the theater tour.
- LUNCH (not provided, location to be announced) with composer of the Off-Broadway musical The Opening Mateo Chavez Lewis
- See the 2:00 pm performance of The Opening Off-Broadway at the Players Theatre in Greenwich Village, 115 MacDougal St.
- Finally, end the day with a visit to The Drama Bookshop.

Tour access, Museum tickets, and performance tickets are provided - you'll purchase lunch on your own. To help accommodate our large group, please register by January 16.
