Broadwater Farm Repair Café

What do you do with a chair when the leg has come loose? A lamp that no longer works? A toaster that doesn't toast? A holey jumper? Throw it away? No way! We host free fixing and skill-sharing sessions at which we fix around two thirds of what is brought in.

Repair Cafés are community events where local people get together to fix broken things and learn new skills - free tea\coffee\fruit\biscuits! Repair Cafés aim to help people learn to fix and\or help others to fix, to bring about a shift in consumerism and throw less away. We skill-share and build community. We try to match 'bringers' who carry in something broken with experienced 'fixers' who can help. Don't leave it in a cupboard or throw it away - let us help you fix it. Getting into the habit of repairing and reusing things saves you money and helps us all.
