This concert, “Friends of Ukraine”, is a moving program recognizing nations that have stood in steadfast support of Ukraine’s defense.
The Academy String Quartet is a distinguished chamber ensemble based in the Pittsburgh region, comprising musicians from the Academy Concerts series—including violinists Jorie Butler‑Geyer and Leah Givelber, violist Warren Davidson, and cellist Cecilia Caughman. The group performs thoughtfully curated programs that blend classical masterpieces with modern and thematic repertoire.
