Held at the historic Mansions on Fifth, this refined gathering features traditional British tea service, themed décor, and a unique tribute to the Jeep's WWII legacy—honoring its Western PA roots and wartime role.

As is tradition, the Britsburgh Festival begins with elegance and history at our Afternoon Tea at Mansions on Fifth, held each year on Labor Day. Join us on Monday, September 1st, for a timeless afternoon filled with delicious fare, rich conversation and the excitement of the 11th Annual Britsburgh Festival.
Nestled on Pittsburgh's historic Millionaire's Row, Mansions on Fifth is one of the few remaining Gilded Age estates in Shadyside—a perfect setting for a refined tea and a journey through time. You'll enjoy an elegant spread of delectable tea sandwiches, a variety of pastries, and (back by popular demand!) home made scones served with clotted cream and jam. As always our proper tea service will transport you to Great Britain.
THE DETAILS
We're celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the end of World War II and highlighting a VERY SPECIAL connection to our area (Butler, PA to be specific!) with a special display and an insightful presentation after tea!
At our Mansion's on Fifth British Tea will be a 1941 Jeep model called the BRC-40. This model was manufactured by the American Bantam Car Company, Butler PA, one of the earliest proto-types for what would become the iconic 'Jeep'. Bantam built 2,675 BRC-40's, some were sent to the UK and Soviet Union under the Lend-Lease program, making it the first Jeep to see combat. The Jeep on display comes from the Butler Historical Museum courtesy of John Pro who will give a brief talk on the 'Bantam Jeep'.
