We welcome back our expert Kanako Mathys.

Kanako teaches at the Academy of Cheese, is a judge at the World Cheese Awards and has also published a book on British cheese.
Born to a family running a Wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) business in a rural area of Japan, Kanako has always been interested in food culture. After moving to the UK to live, she got hooked on such a "culturally-rich food", cheese.
This year, we will be comparing UK and European examples of 3 different cheese categories to discover the distinct taste of British cheese. We will be tasting 6 cheeses in total. Kanako will walk us through the process, sharing her expertise as we go.
