About this Event
Andrew Staunton serves as Her Majesty’s British Consul General to the Southeastern United States, covering the states of Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee. As a part of his first official visit since the onset of COVID-19, the Consul General will provide remarks to the Savannah Council on World Affairs and The Learning Center on the United Kingdom’s future following its withdrawal from the European Union. In the course of his remarks, Andrew will provide an overview of the withdrawal agreement and implications for stakeholders, as well as opportunities for an enhanced trading relationship with the United States. The Consul General will also discuss UK trade and business activity with Savannah and surrounding areas, including potential impacts from a US-UK free trade agreement, with audience questions to follow.
