Bristol Production Power: Supercharging Clean Energy & Circular Innovation

A major advance in clean energy access is on the horizon in Bristol, with the world-first Mobile Power Hub Pilot preparing for launch in May 2026.

Led by ACT 1.5, the West of England Combined Mayoral Authority and Bristol City Council, this groundbreaking Pilot will provide 100% renewable energy for many of the music festivals, cultural events and film/TV productions that operate across the city each year.

Join Bristol’s Film Services - Bristol Film Office, The Bottle Yard Studios and Bristol UNESCO City of Film – for their latest update on collaborative work that enables and incentivises productions to reduce carbon emissions in the studio and on location.

Hear more about how the Mobile Power Hub Pilot fits into wider electrification strategies designed to benefit film crews and event teams on the ground and reduce the use of generators both on location and in the Studio.

Finally, hear from critically acclaimed scripted production company 60 Forty Films, sustainability specialists Leverage Point, and AssetFlow (part of the CAMA Group), as they discuss first-hand how they collaborated to embed sustainable practices during the production lifecycle of a major US-commissioned High-End drama based in Bristol in 2024/5.

Sharing best practise, they’ll reflect on the benefits of engaging with the local circular economy throughout different phases of production – from logistics and suppliers, to studios, locations and skills.

This event will consist of three panel sessions, followed by Q&A with all speakers. It will close with drinks and networking.
