Bristol Move & Meet in the Park

Bristol movers!

We’re so excited to invite you to our free community movement meet-up in the park, starting on 18th April on the Clifton Downs.

We’ll be gathering monthly with a simple intention: to build a community of movers, learn from each other, and most importantly, have fun and enjoy practice together outside.

Each 90min session will begin with a warm-up, followed by a themed movement practice led by us. From there, the space opens up to explore, play, practise, or simply hang out in the sun.

Expect a mix of movement flows, improvisational tasks, partner games, along with specific skill-building strength and mobility exercises. The aim is to help you explore your movement practice, not just isolated skills or fitness, but the ability to weave it all together so it becomes play and expression.

Who will be hosting these meet ups?

River trained in dance and gymnastics from a young age and has been teaching yoga for 7 + years. Her work now brings these disciplines together into fluid, mixed movement practices. She is known for her creativity and the ability to get anyone moving from a place of joy. She believes in having a multidisciplinary approach to movement.

Paula is a professionally trained dancer (Trinity Laban) and teaches popular contemporary floorwork classes in Bristol. She is also a qualified yoga teacher, known for her grounded fluid approach to movement. She knows how to slide and roll on the floor in ways you didn’t know was possible and she can show you exactly how!

No matter your movement flavour from cali, dance,yoga, free movement, circus, contact improv, capoeira and so on we would love to meet you.

The only prerequisite is that you love to move your body!

Come move, learn, and spend time with people who also get the obsession ;)
