Bristol Good Food 2030 Framework Launch

Join Bristol Food Network for a working lunch to celebrate the launch of the Bristol Good Food 2030 Framework. Come and hear about ambitious new goals for the city’s food system, developed in collaboration with local organisations and Bristol City Council.

This event is part of the Festival of Nature and whilst it is predominantly aimed at local food organisations, community groups and businesses, everyone is welcome to attend.

At the event we'll hear about some of the work that is already underway to make food in Bristol better for communities, climate and nature, including:

• Bristol City Council's work developing a new strategy for land access and urban food growing
• The Food Leaders programme at Square Food Foundation
• The Assemblies' apprenticeship scheme
• The University of Bristol's effort to adapt their procurement practices and support local and sustainable producers
• Feeding Bristol's Food Equality Strategy
• Resource Futures' developments in reducing food waste across the city

The event will be introduced by Councillor Ellie King, Cabinet Member with responsibility for Public Health and Communities. There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion and a simple lunch will be provided.

Through engagement with stakeholders, the Bristol Good Food 2030 Framework identifies key changes that the city should be working towards across the whole food system, with recommended timelines between now and 2030. Development of the Framework has been led by Bristol Food Network.
